Castagnari Accordions
| Castagnari have been making accordions for three generations and today the family still resist going down the mass-production line, they want to remain a cottage industry – family run etc.. This explains the delays experienced by retailers. However, the high quality of their workmanship and versatility of their instruments makes the wait worthwhile – ask Sharon Shannon!
With the exception of the ciacy, all about accordions guarantee these boxes have TAM reeds. They can all be ordered with A Mano Reeds if that is your preference and any tuning be ordered and can be ordered in cherry wood or walnut. The Family in the last few years have invested in New lazor Tecnology and this can be seen as the highest quality accordions produced anywhere in the World The consistency in their production is unbelievable and flawless. I would say these accordions are as good an accordion as you could buy off the shelf. |

NEW CLASSIC PAOLO SOPERANI ACCORDIONS
NEW CLASSIC PAOLO SOPERANI ACCORDIONS
Paolo Soprani Grey Button Accordion Jubilee 2 Couplar
This was the first box to be reproduced by the new Paolo Soprani [incorporating the Menghini Company] in collaboration with Sean Garvey. The demand for these boxes has been so great in the last number of years that the obvious way to go, was to replicate the old boxes.
All About Accordions displayed this Jubilee Grey at the All Ireland fleadh in Clonmel in 2004 to fantastic reaction from players.
The second replica in the Jubilee series.
This 3 voice is the most sought after because of its light weight. The new box will come in a choice of 2 middle reeds and one lower or 3 middle reeds.
‘Paolo Soprani Grey Button Accordion Jubilee 3 voice
3 STOPPER PAOLO SOPRANI
Having gone the distance with the Paolo Soprani factory and produced the 2 couplar and the 3 voice, I realized that there were a lot of students and even professionals who were looking for more than just the lightweight feature. The Paolo Soprani sound was what they wanted but with options on this sound.
With this in mind I went back to the factory and had them put in 2 middle octave reeds and also a low octave reed. With the quieter 2 voice, the option of closing off the loud bass when needed was obvious. Also the option of taking out the thirds for accommodating minor chords has become more popular in recent years for competitions etc.
Overall this accordion has retained its genuine Paolo Soprani sound and because of its quality TAM reeds can compete with any other accordion on the market.
This accordion has become the most popular accordion on my shelves since its ntroduction.
Features include:
* 2 x Stoppers on bass, one to close off low reed for a quieter bass and the other to take the 3rd out to accomodate minor chords.
* Full size buttons 14mm
* TAM reeds
* Lightweight
* Quality Paolo Soprani sound with great volume.
* Available in all keys
Available Now – the new compact Paolo Soprani.
It is lighter than the blue and red badge accordions of the 50’s and 60’s, and the overall balance and feel is great. In fact I think this accordion has better action and response than any previous model.
The first batch will be red but I will order every second batch in Grey as in the original Jubilee, with silver grill and fingerboard.
